Renewable World to judge Renewable Energy Industry CSR Award

February 29, 2012

The inaugural RenewableUK Energy Awards are set to take place on 27th June this year at the prestigious Intercontinental London Park Lane. The awards are aimed at recognising, celebrating and rewarding achievement and excellence in the sector and will be a social highlight of the industry calendar. Over 500 people from the renewable energy sector will attend including business professionals, key stakeholders, politicians and more.

10 categories will be judged by a panel formed of 4-5 independent specialists – selected to ensure fairness, professionalism and credibility of the Awards. Renewable World is very proud to be invited to be on the judging panel for the CSR award, which recognises a company that demonstrates leadership and excellent practice in corporate social responsibility across their business.

The CSR Award, which is being presented in partnership with Renewable World, will be given to a company in the industry who demonstrates a strategic and holistic approach to managing the triple bottom line of social, environmental and economic impacts.

The award seeks to acknowledge, encourage and reward innovation, creativity and a sustained commitment to corporate responsibility as well as highlight the pioneering ways of creating shared value for internal and external stakeholders.  It will honour those who achieve transformative impact through demonstrable enterprising approaches to problem solving.

The award will be seeking to honour:
• Innovative approaches to creating shared value

• Demonstrable transformative societal impact
• Management of appropriate and positive relations with stakeholders
