Tom Bates

Tom joined Renewable World in December 2021. He brings five years of experience in proposal writing, prospect research, donor stewardship and in direct fundraising, most recently working at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. Before transitioning to a fundraising career, Tom had a brief stint in academia, completing a PhD in ethics from the University of Groningen in The Netherlands and teaching courses on moral psychology and practical ethics. Outside of work, Tom likes getting into nature, listening to music and playing chess.
