This week I attended the inaugural RenewableUK Energy Awards at the Intercontinental Park Lane where our CEO was part of the judging panel and presented the Award for Corporate Social Responsibility which was held in conjunction with RenewableUK.
More than three-hundred guests, including business leaders and politicians, attended the awards ceremony which were opportunity to recognise and celebrate excellence in the wind and marine energy industries
Maria McCaffery, RenewableUK Chief Executive said, “We have seen exceptional achievements from companies and individuals in all parts of these sectors, from community engagement to technical innovation, from trainees to those who have dedicated their working lives to achieving sustainable solutions to our energy needs. The RenewableUK Energy Awards pay tribute to these inspiring examples of tenacity and success”.
Renewable World CEO Neil Jeffery presented the Corporate Social Responsibility Award to Ewan Campbell-Lendrum, Head of HSQE at renewable energy generator Infinis, who were selected by the judges as winners in recognition of their sustained commitment to continued innovation in corporate responsibility over the last 6 years.
Reflecting on the quality of the nominations, it is clear that CSR is becoming an increasingly important issue for all sectors and we were all very impressed by level of commitment demonstrated by all the shortlisted companies for this award.
