RenewableUK Offshore Wind Conference June 2013

June 14, 2013

On 12th-13th June, we were delighted to attend the two-day RenewableUK Offshore Wind Conference in Manchester. The conference was attended by many of the leading figures in the wind energy industry, including Tom Greatrex MP, the Shadow Minister for Energy. Rob Dumbleton, Renewable World's Corporate Engagement and Business Development Director, tells us how the conference went…

I’ve had a great time at the RenewableUK Offshore Wind Conference in Manchester.

Two fully packed days of meeting some fantastic people and reacquainting with existing friends and advocates of Renewable World.

It’s always good to hear what people’s thoughts are about what we’re doing and what we are trying to achieve. It’s also fantastic for us to showcase what we do, our updates and actually get to see our supporters face to face.

We were fortunate enough to be located right in the centre of the exhibition floor on the RenewableUK stand.

From the moment the exhibition opened on the first day to the close, we had a steady flow of visitors. I also managed to bump into RW trustees, Michael Bullock and Chris Tomlinson.

There was some great evening entertainment and networking out on the exhibition floor, followed by the RenewableUK official evening event at the National Football Museum.

The final day followed the same format as the first and I took the opportunity to sit-down and meet with some of our long standing friends, partners and supporters, AXYS, Mainstream Renewables, Cathie Associates, RES, and All-Energy to name a few.

I’d like to extend my thanks to the entire RenewableUK team for their hospitality, we were well looked after and the stand was fantastic!
