Janaki Jayasuriya

Janaki joined the Renewable World team in February 2020 with over fifteen years’ experience in charity finance including working for the Indigenous Development Centre based in Chiang Mai Thailand and also Target Tuberculosis and Sightsavers who work in Africa and Asia alleviating poverty by strengthening national and local health systems.  Living and working in the jungle areas on the Thai-Burma border increased her awareness of the plight of people living in marginalized communities and since returning to the UK she has become increasingly interested in living in a more environmentally sustainable way.  She enjoys walking in the Downs, cycling, cooking and listening to world music
